Watch out Malta!

Yesterday we went to visit Uncle Graeme and Auntie Kylie in Ayr as Uncle Graeme leaves for a job in Malta today. It was going to be the last chance to see him until the baby comes. It was beautiful weather and Laura, Gordon and the kids came along too. Kylie is glowing and looking brilliant - only 8 weeks to go. They plan to be out there for the next couple of years at least so I've been pricing holidays to Malta for all of us. They still had things to get organised as it's been a whirlwind between being offered the job and getting a date to go. So we said good bye after lunch and went to the beach. There is a brilliant play park which is massive and has lots of things to do.

Zack was having a field day. There was some massive big rocks for aesthetics where all the big kids hang out. And sure enough he headed straight there to jump off these massive rocks rather than going on any of the safe play park bits. He will definitely be an adrenaline junky when he grows up.

I don't know how Laura and Gordon does it. Beth was in the buggy asleep and I still struggled to keep and eye on Neive.

Becky, Ben and Zack were all over the play park - they must have eye on the back of their heads. After lots of fun we went for ice-creams it was the only time all day that the kids were as quite as mice.

Then we headed to the beach where Ben and Zack terrorised Becky with the seaweed! It took me back to my childhood when Gordon and Graeme used to do that to me. She is a bit of a scaredy cat though!

Beth slept most of the day which I knew would be a bad omen. Sure enough she screamed all the way home and I had to stop twice to calm her back down. I wish she would take a dummy as she wouldn't get so upset but just like Neive she refuses to even entertain the idea! Laura texted when they got home (before me - they traveleed by train with one change over and I drove) just to rub it in - Thanks Honey!
